Lol thanks for those glowing refs ... yeah I DO read the FAQs every night just in case they change.
I do not quite get the part where I "intimidated" you though (please spell that part out as I am illiterate as you so eloquently put it), and I think that if you did read the FAQs you would find that personal abuse is not tolerated on these forums (point 6bii) ... something which you seem to find very easy to dish out in any underhand manner you see fit.
So please explain to all the forumites why you seem to want to take the morale high ground on this forum ... that was the question.!confused!

PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?

Wazza..seriously.. have you ever been given feedback about how sensitive you can appear and what it makes people think about you? eg good feedback is something like 'Wazza when you do this it makes me feel this......
bad is when you say something like 'Wazza you're a twat'

Some people skilled in giving it say something like the first..others less skilled the latter...

my f/b to you is 'Wazza when you try and boss it here it makes me feel that you dont value others opinions .You sometimes show off which makes me feel you think you are better than others'.......feedback is a gift..take it or dont.

I think you have genuinely irritated some forumites but we're quite a forgiving lot and as I say I think its a better place for having you along.....

I don't know why people take other comments on this forum so personally. If they don't like particular comments, piss off to another 'more eco friendly' environment. Anyway, we can always carry out a o/t coup on the president WZR. !grin!

Just made them up; waddaya think?

We all do the above; some more than others.

I've said this before: Though Wazza's overly-pedantic -sometimes- nature can ignite fury or irritability in some, I'm becoming increasingly uncomfortable with the constant sniping and 'ganging up' on one particular poster.

Ok, I've participated in jibes aimed at.......say photo-taker's semantics, or chrisd's constant stream of virtual begging, and when I realise I'm over doing it, I refrain.

I like my first quote above (arrogant bastard aren't I?), because sometimes when you think someone's being a dickhead, and you try to point their faults out too much, you don't realise you making yourself look like a dickhead in the process.

Honestly, I go away for the weekend at look what happens! !laugh!

I like your quotes Sam very thought provoking (well they were for my brain). Also, i agree with you. We should all stop the sniping. I to have also participated in obnoxious replies to the frustrating requests from chrisd. But i to, am now over bothering even reading his posts. Posters on the o/t forum should not result to bullying tactics or suggest people kill themselves just because another poster does not agree with your views or you cannot proivde a reasoned arguement to support yourself.
Its only a forum and its cyber space so you can just switch the screen off in front of you if someones annoyed you and go and do something more worthwhile instead.

WZR - echoing the sentiments of some others, I used to think that you were just a pompous twat.

In fact I still do think you're a pompous twat.

But at least you're an INTELLIGENT pompous twat who's not afraid to argue his point and (usually) argues it intelligently - even though generally speaking I don't subscribe to your politics.

You get on my tits sometimes, it has to be said. But just as I feel that this forum is a poorer place without Officer Dibble, your absence would also leave a void.

WZR: he may be a pompous twat - but he's OUR pompous twat.
