@ Jack: It's the where it is that puts me off. Being A small town guy I just wouldn't feel comfortable in a place I didnt know and that has a bit of a reputation. I have no doubt it's like where I used to live, it had a bad rep but I never had any trouble, just like I imagine the party will have no trouble.

Yep Sam has it spot on. The organiser is using the fact these girls are going to be attending to sell tickets, that doesn't mean that any of those girls have actually committed or been booked to attend. They were asked if they wanted to be put on a guest list for a party.

Blaming a production company---how strange and unusual.

Even if two-thirds of the ladies listed as attending don't show (and that's being very pessimistic), there will still be glamorous beauties enough for anyone buying a ticket. Why don't you read up on how previous parties have gone, check out the photos and find out how good a time those who attended have.

The company behind the do has offered free tickets for actresses should they want to show up. If they want to show up, they will. But if they get work---you know, some paying job that helps deal with the bills, mortgage etc----then they will take it.

If you're going, then go. Don't whinge about it before you go. If it turns out to be a pile of pants afterwards, then say so.
