Re: My Family
It may well be harmless fluff, but it would be a lesser forum if we didn't criticize that which we find worthy of criticism, rather than ignore it.
Re: My Family
I remember I felt the same about Bread as Jim Slip feels about My Family.
Whenever that "Jolly Scouse Comedy" came on the box I had to leave the room.
I didn't like any of Carla Lane's "Comedies" - but Bread I detested with a passion. It was 30 mins of TV that made me want to slit my wrists.
I've never felt as badly about any programme before or since. Perhaps someone could assure me that it wasn't just me !

Re: My Family
When Bread was on it was years ago and I was still a nipper - the rest of my family controlled the TV. We only had one TV and there were only 3or 4 channels then.
It was watch Bread or sit in my cold bedroom reading a book - I usually took the reading a book option.

I wasn't being metaphorical, it really is empty.
