I understand that 60% of Cricket's international income is generated from Asia. ODI's are the main source of this income and that's one reason why so many of them are played. England don't really want their players playing 20 plus ODI's per year - as happens with the Asian teams - but the ECB are basically powerless to stop the ever increasing number of ODI's.

Now theres a boring game

Test cricket is nothing more than a chance to get 3/5 days sleep depending on who's playing

1 day cricket has become so predictable 20/20 was always going to be a winner

Guess what, just quietly the cricketers hate it

That's not the attitude of the spectators who fill up the vast majority of Test matches which are played in England every year.

That's not the commercial stance taken by Sky who paid a record amount of money for the TV rights. Also, the sponsors believe it's worth spending their money on sponsoring the many different competitions.

That's not the attitude of the ICC who want more and more ODI's played.

I think it will eventually supersede the 50 over game.

They are paid a lot of money these days to play international cricket.
