Opposed To Brian 'Only Gay In The Village' Dowling who on another reality show treated a gay bloke [Josh] like a cunt for being gay because he had actually lived the 'lifestyle' and had relationships with men. Brian couldn't handle to be in the presence of an actual gay person because at the time Brian was playing the little closet case card. Brian now pretending he is some kind of gay messiah and the voice of the gay community makes me sick. I didn't like Jim before the show because I never liked his brand of comedy and I hate even more the light entertainment he used to pollute the screens with on a Saturday night when I was a child but I can't see how telling someone [jokingly] that GAY stood for as Good As You is an insult. Surely he was saying that being gay is not an illness or a perversion or makes you a second class citizen. The majority of gay people I know call each other names like poof and shirt lifter. Brian is trying his best to win this show in the hope he will be offered something better than the midnight to 4 am contestant raping phone in quiz calls because as Karl Pilkington said 'they go out way later on than everyone else'. I suppose now the tabloids will be full of poor little Brian and bad nasty Davidson.

most of the people on these programmes I have never heard of and dont want to hear of again.

Not a fan of JD but if he had called him a shit stabbing cackpipe murderer that would have been offensive. Shirt lifter is so quaint and dated, from the days when Gay meant happy, hardly any real Gay person would have taken offence. A lesbian colleague of mine is fascinated by all the insults and nicknames straight people have for gays, she finds them very funny, and has a sense of humour, unlike the Tatchell brigade who seem to think being Gay is a gift of some sort and should receive reverence..........

I also agree, when are TV producers going to give us some quality drama on prime time, not reality bilge for has beens, never beens and never will beens. Is Jade Goody now a commissioning editor?

Jims career is dead on its arse, however, he is a relic from the70's and does a LOT for the British Army with the typical squaddie sense of humour just right for Jim.
However, he was spot on......a little cheeky post card humour was OK, but that gay bloke was screeching like a poncey hairdresser how his gay rights had been violated with such vile terms such as 'shirtlifter'....now HE looked the cunt in my eyes.
