Clive Owen was completely wooden in the 2004 version.
Sounded like he .... was .... reading ... his ... lines ... from ... an ... auto ... cue.
And Knightly's accent was so frightfully fucking frightfully it was just laughable.
Those two ruined what could otherwise have been a great movie.

I agree Owen was a complete miscast especially the speeches designed to rally the troops
I wouldn't have followed him into a strip club let alone on a mission through Woad territory where death was certain
One of my all time pet hates is out of place accents
The film opens with a woad warrior speaking in tongue so you expect something similar when KK enters the film.
