My AVP has detected trojans and then neturalised them.

Gave myself the once over with Panda and it found nothing. All trojans have been neutralised and deleted by my Steganos. Fingers crossed everything is running normally again.

Although occasionally my computer does take a while (10 minutes plus) to boot up. When it fails to boot up I switch it off, and from the mains, and unplug the battery, replug it back in and my laptop boots up without any further problem.

Just noticed though Jacques that Activescan will only work with IE 5.0 and above, it wouldn't run with Firefox so presumably won't run with any browser other than IE?

So I guess, if you use a browser other than IE you'll have to switch back to IE to run the scan.

Doesn't work with vista either, I've just tried. Not really a problem I'm pretty sure I don't have any spyware etc.

You could always run the free livecare scanners(if you can get them to upload without crashing)

The issue of boot up times seems to be the bane of many who have no spyware/virus/trojan problems. The issue seems to be peripherals/externals
when booting up

Failing all that maybe running the hijackthis program

and posting the log to a spyware forum will be helpful
