I reckon some of the finest erotic movies ever made were those produced in the John Leslie era - 'The Budding of Brie', Vista 'Valley PTA', 'Dixie Ray' and of course 'Taboo'. But there are many more less well known ones. They almost stood up as B movies in their own right.

Re: Old or the New?
The old, definitely.
However, what makes the old so appealing- is it the rose-tinted romance of the past that makes us unanimous in our choice of the old? Are we hankering for the old out of pure nostalgia and 'the good old days'?
We all remember watching our first porno flicks, and fondly remember how mind-blowing it was. However, is it because we are now 'hardened' and relatively 'immune' to new porn that we hanker for the old as we are pretty numb and non-receptive to the 'charms' of the new?
Say, for example, we hadn't witnessed any porn in our lives until now- we'd be singing the praises of modern porn.
These are just some musings for discussion- I go for the old. My golden-era of porn was 90s French stuff- Dorcel et al- with the likes of Lea de Mae, Fovea, Oceane and Laure Sainclair. The color climax and rodox stuff was blindingly hot, stockings and sussies all the way, and featuring anal, dp etc makes it no less hard than the stuff of today.
However, the Internet has trivialised porn and one has to be more selective in their viewing. I hardly get aroused by conventional, modern porn anymore- my heterosexuality isn't diminishing, I'm just plain bored of seeing the same old stuff. No wonder the BDSM market is taking off*.
*Well, I can't officially verify that- it certainly appears to be!! !wink!
In any argument of old vs new, be it porn, film or sport, the old generally wins due to 'characters', talent and class being replaced by production-line by-numbers blandness.
Throw in a sprinking of nostalgia, a smattering of happy memories and end result is that 'the old' simply cannot be beaten. !wink!

Re: Old or the New?
Maybe you'd like to define where old stops & new begins?
