Well my take on this is if you have a online account with a bank and they encounter problems same as NR did then their site will go down because of the ammount of hits, if you have a High Street account then you can get in the Q for hours whatever the weather, you pay your money you take your chance. and by the way another word of warning the Bank of Englands pledge does not cover new accounts !cool!

Having use internet banking for 6 years without a problem I'd say its a good thing but it does have its risks all be it at your PCs end



I do everything(pay bills,transfer funds etc) over the phone without the same risks mind you I'm in Australia so most likely your system is different

Yes over here the Halifax bank provides bill payments& money transfers .

Or to give it it's correct name Halifax Bank of Scotland (HBOS).
