Jim Slip sees Pope!

I was in Rome yesterday and while looking at St Peters Square, you'll never guess what, but the fucking Pope suddenly appeared in his little car, drove across the front of the Basillica (About 200 yards), waved and then disappeared. All unofficial, the nuns went completely mad and nearly trampled me.

I wonder if this is a sign!!??

I was in Rome a few years ago and saw the Pope on the balcony waving but I couldn't hear what he was saying. The next week I got there earlier so I was nearer, but I still couldn't hear. The final weekend of my visit I got right to the front. Out he came on to the balcony, and straining to hear above the noise from the assembled throng, all I could make out was ' Get the fuck off my garden'.
