Letter Bomb Bloke
Letter Bomb Bloke
Just seen his pic he looks like a Robot.
Re: Letter Bomb Bloke
While I don't agree with what he did, I can understand why he may have thought we are living in the kind of state we currently are living in. Everywhere we go now there is CCTV. I read an article the other day that the UK has 20% of the world's CCTV. It's getting like Soviet Russia here.
Re: Letter Bomb Bloke
He'd be classed as a freedom fighter if we read he did it in China or USSR.
You can't condone it, but you can see where he's coming from.

The West London of my youth is now on dvd
I've met the man on the street............and he's a cunt

Re: Letter Bomb Bloke
What use is CCTV, you get mugged, the pictures dont mean anything in court, or even worse you get murdered, whats the point of cctv when your already dead, it like closing the stable door after the cunting horse has bolted, it's expensive and unreliable as a scource of evidence, real crime is only deterred by a heavy police prescence day and night. Ask your self if you feel safer walking accross central Birmingham at night because of cctv, the damage has already been done. cctv is a cunt of the highest order and just keeps high-tech firms in fat profits and coppers behind desks.

Re: to right Lizard
Its a beautiful smokescreen but in reality it just pushes the problem to a non CCTV area
Catching a crime on Film is not a deterrent
Those for it always like to use the 1 or 2 examples where a potential crime has been thwarted.Just pure luck that there were Police able to respond immediately
CCTV is not prevention which Police on the beat or better still a manned Police Station are
Its just a cheap alternative IMHO
Don't forget the misuse of CCTV
Tapes of people behaving badly in public in a sexual way doing the rounds
Who watches the watchers?

Cant but agree with you. CCTV gives the appearance of doing something without spending what is required to actually do anything. Rather like those toytown coppers, the community supports. (You know the ones who cant wade into a pond to at least attempt to rescue a drowing child, or pour a respectable, elderly bowls club's bottle of wine down the park drain.) It has long been said that all CCTV does is move crime to other places less covered. Besides, if it had a real deterrent effect how come there is still so much bad behaviour in front of the cameras in any town centre at chucking out time?
