Shakin' Stevens song help?

Evening all!!

Out driving yesterday afternoon and there was a song on the radio called "Its Raining" from (I think) 1953. After the track had finished the DJ said that Shakin' Stevens had a hit with a version of it in 1981 but never said who the original was by.

Really really desperate to find out who it was. Does any one know please?
