Ned Sherrin
Ned Sherrin
Died aged 76 used to get him mixed up with Alan Coren.
Re: Ned Sherrin
Saw him on Countdown a few times in the 80s didnt really get his humour.
Re: Ned Sherrin
Bit too much of a snooty luvvie type for my tastes
Stephen Fry strikes me as a modern day version of Sherrin
To each is own though - RIP Ned

Re: Ned Sherrin
He was involved with TW3 in the early 1960's. Presented 'Loose Ends' on R4 for over 20 years and also the music quiz 'Counterpoint'.
So what if he was gay - didn't bother me. His humour was of the 'old-school' although he did cause some trouble with the BBC when he made what some called anti-French remarks on an episode of 'Loose Ends' a few years ago.
R.I.P. Ned.
