Brown's 'Long-Term Vision'

Post by dynatech »

I wonder what this dramatic vision entails?

An addled nation who accept tiny pay rises and not-so-tiny inflation and tax increases whilst taking up more and more credit to prop up Glass-Eye's 'consumer boom'???

They're locking them up today, they're throwing away the key...I wonder who it be tomorrow, you or me?

From Rueters..
"Both Brown and Darling have said they will not make any unfunded spending commitments, but they will be acutely aware of the need to win back support after what most people reckon has been a difficult week for the government.
"We expect some fairly large tax cuts purely intended to grab the headlines"

Great eh, it only took 2 Tory tax policies to cause this.

It won't be that.

However, it could be worse. Imagine an economy with 'stop-go' or 'boom-bust' cycles engineered to win elections; where the rich get richer at the poor's expense and where greed is encouraged at the behest of all else.

Britain 1979- 1997. What a fucking shithole.

Don't go back.

Resorting to tax cuts again, I see? How much money is there that the Tories will give away- and, of course, from the poor to the rich?
