Formatting an external hardrive to NTFS

How do I do it?

Its been delivered to me with FAT32 and it will not allow me to transfer large files( my movies) from the hard drive on my PC to the external hard drive.

I hope this makes sense as I am floundering in the dark here.

Go to "Admin tools" in control panel, click on "computer managment", then click in "Disc Management" highlight your new ext drive and then ask for "Quick format", this should format it to NTFS.

I think this is correct.
