This is arrant nonsense- or wilful ignorance.
'Celebrity culture'?

How many of your 'beef-smokers' have ever established a credible acting
career? Or indeed ANY career? They marry the next rich bugger who comes
along [and good luck to them], but let's not pretend an 'assocation' with
you is a step toward stardom.
I'm afraid that in the long run one must have a degree of talent to succeed-
and if you ain't got it, it don't matter how big your tits are.

Fair pont about Jade- and I was surprised Jordan didn't crop up.

As you say, our value-system is seriously fucked-up; and I can't see how
to correct it.

Wonderful; that's why I love you, etc etc.
But really, I wouldn't have thought you'd associate with such 'well dodgy'
types.

"Or is it your obsession with celeb culture, eh Dibsy?"

What obsession? Why should one thread about vacuous Celeb Mags indicate an obsession with celeb culture? I'm interested in culture, period. And since celeb culture is now the dominant force in popular culture, influencing the attitudes and direction of today's society in general, it's a little hard to ignore, don'tcha think? But anyhow, I think I understand why you?re so uncharacteristically reticent to discuss it.

"I love him deeply, as I do all dinosaurs"

A "dinosaur"? What, you mean like a ?Dibbosaurus Rex'?

Maybe you?ve misunderstood me all these years? Maybe you just can't get your heard round the fact that I'm not, and never have been, a privileged middleclass university sort of lad? I grew up on a council estate, went to a bog standard comp (where they simply assumed we were factory fodder). I then worked in factories and on construction sites before getting into business 'the street way'. Most of my friends and associates are still those 'well dodgy', no nonsense, street people - although a number of them are quite well off by now.

Sign of the times me thinks

A lot of us don't care what happens outside of our own little sphere of existence

I've watched current affair shows that follow the news go from being hard hitting political/social commentary to nothing more than infomercials of
'how to' name the subject

Real News via Journalism went out the door years ago because its not as profitable as the meaningless Celeb filler.Media outlets are so desperate for profit they offer viewers the chance to get their Photos used as news

Mags like OK are nothing more than an advertising tool to sell clothes/makeup/diet fads etc that Celeb A-Z use/swear by

Clever marketing it must be said

Eh? I don't understand how this relates to the post you are commenting on. It doesn?t make any sense. What have you been smoking?
