I was in love with Deborah since I saw her in 1950 or 1951 in "King Solomon's Mine" and a few years later in "Quo vadis ?", though these films are not her best. The best is probably "From Here to Eternity".
In her biography "Deborah Kerr" (London, 1977) Eric Braub writes that she was born in a maternity clinic situated 7 St. James Terrace, Hillhead, Glasgow. Does this facility still exist ?

Didn't Deborah Kerr suddenly stop making movies in the 70's because of the violence and explicit scenes that were creaping into the films of that era?? I dare say she made enough bucks to do that and still live comfortably although I think she retreated to the tax haven that is Switzerland.
PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?

Hello , Yes she did live in Switzerland , but also had a home in the West Coast of America and wintered there for may years in the sun.Turning to money , when she went into acting , she never needed it , there was a lot of money in the background as Trumption would be able to confirm

Or as Trumpton would be able to confirm.

OK, here goes - cough, cough: Deborah Kerr came from a money background.

That's public persona for you, Steve.

How are you, by the way? All well? We're a little concerned that you're not posting as often as you used to, so I said I'd ask.
