Very true - I read an article a couple of months back saying how
there were so many guest houses and hotels up for sale in Blackpool
Defo down to the poor weather and cheaper flights
Sadly I feel they will struggle to sell them on, not sure who would
want to risk putting their money into this type of venture nowadays
Last time I was in Blackpool it seemed to mainly be attracting the stag
and hen party crowds. So not the best place to be on a Friday night

Well there is lots! But that depends on what you mean by "rough". When we mean "rough" we mean as in low income areas affected by crime, drug selling, prostitution, etc. Every major city in the U.S. has some rough areas from east to west coast. These days though, cities are becoming increasingly expensive to live in do to regentrification and the poor are being forced to live on the outskirts of the city.

Oh Ok. We mean the same thing then when we say "rough". By the way, I've been to Detriot a lot since the mid 1990s and it is a hellhole. Since I started driving a truck over the road in the early 1990s I've seen some of our major cities and some small towns along the way and all I can say is "it's something else". The UK has always been interesting for me ever since I read and heard about the first British Invasion of rock-n-roll (and the second one as well to which I was a teen around that time). Even when I got into the history of reggae and ska and how it extended to the UK I've always been interested. Hopefully one day I'll visit.
