Yeah, a mate had a caravan there, we had a blast- fishing in a dinghy! I was only 14 at the time, though.

Went to Rothesay as a kid, punctuated by breaks at Seton Sands, before the folks got a wee place in Spain, and we went there.

Went back to Rothesay a few months back- heartbreaking, the place has died a death.

Great memories though, hope I have them when I have lost my marbles.

There are a lot of treasures in Scotland. A train journey from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh was wonderful (25 or more years back), followed a few days later by a breathtaking train journey from Mallaig to Fort William----stuff well away from the roads.

And there's so much of the country I have never seen

Don't know how long I'll last though, everything is very hazy at the moment.

God, that was f*****g hard work typing and all that that, what with the space-time continuim going backwards one hour.

I often wonder why I'm here, and the general point of existence.

The treadmill that is life can be confusing. As we're part of the animal kingdom, is our role, biologically, to ensure that our 'line'survives? So many arguments, too much to talk about here. I have a few learned mates I cantalk to for days on this, as you no doubt can.

Think I'll be off to my pit soon as well. Many books to be read.

Fort William rocks! Not much in the way of nightlife.

I like the Western Isles, but I've got so much to see here too. Our country has so much character.

I'm halfway between city and country, a lot on the doorstep. Not been fishing for ages!!
