The Mrs & I cracked open a large tin of these sweeties at the weekend, and were both mightily disgruntled to find that there were none of those soft-toffee half-barrels in the gold wrappers.
My favourite green triangles were also a bit thin on the ground, as were the nutty ones in the purple wrappers.
And does anyone actually LIKE the toffees and the hard centres? There's ALWAYS plenty of those fuckers (seems like half the frigging tin) - but they always seem to be the ones that no-one likes, and end up getting left.

I do. They're the best because you can really chew on them. Yum-yum.

The ones you mention, the gold caramel barrels, and the green triangles are very popular, hence they are getting sold on their own!!

But buy a box of Roses, and there will still be the same ones left that no one wants.

I had some of these the other week, in fact the first time I'd tasted them in years, and they were just too sweet and sickly.
