That's only one possible estimate, it really could be much higher. The rumour has spread through the Roma community in Romania that if you can get into Great Britain you can get 'free' money, what we call the benefit system, so consequently we now have Romanies basically trying to fiddle the system.
This isn't me being a reactionary, the words(more or less) of the former labour minister, Frank Field.
Another consequence is the fact that the huge influx of migrant workers has lowered real wages of the lower and semi-skilled workers in this country, so there is absolutey no financial advantage for those wishing to escape the benefits system, In fact there is a distinct disadvantage, you'd have to f*****g stupid to want to have a drop in your income.
The drop in the govermental statistics of the unemployed is about 0.1 percent,(Over the last three years) while at the same time the goverment "says that 270,000 thousand new jobs have been created, so getting the unemployed back to work is really working isn't it?
I watched a plasterer complaining on television about the amount of East Europeans flooding into the country. This plasterer was of Afro-Caribbean descent.

It really does my nut in when you go to an expensive establishment to find that ALL the workers in the place are FOREIGN (usually Polish) and don't speak too much English. Now this wouldn't bother me if it wasn't for the fact that these workers are getting a pittance of a pay and the establishment are charging an arm and a leg to use their facilities.
Seems this is just a case of the rich getting way richer and the rest can go and fuck ourselves with a large totem pole, plus what about the local people who are looking for work but are priced out of the market by these migrants who get everything handed to them on a plate.
