I remember a case a few years ago when a female Canadian supply teacher came over here and had a sexual relationship(s) with a 16/17 year old boy(s). The media made light of the entire situation. She didn't face any criminal proceedings, was not put on the Sexual Offenders Register - she just went back to Canada without a stain on her character.

What would have happened if the situation had been reversed? An almighty public/media/government outcry and condemnation of the teacher and the school authorities.

Double standards and rank hypocrisy!
