They do seem to be unhealthily obsessed with WZR.

Simple rules:

If a particular poster annoys you, then don't read their posts

If someone seems to be dominating threads or killing them off by sending them into severe off-topicness and degrees of pedantry, don't read on and start your own threads

Activity is the lifeblood of any forum, so if you want it to survive then someone must contribute. If not WZR, or Sam, or Magoo, or Liz, or Fudgey etc, then whom? Anything you feel strongly about, start a thread; anything you are seeking an answer to, ask.

Fudgey's stupid take:

-WZR should not give a toss, this is merely cyberspace where we don't actually know each other.

-WZR should continue as normal, his posts don't put me up nor down;

-On a forum where we are relatively 'anonymous', and wish to remain so, people talking about 'self-publicity' is a nonsense;

-This forum, whilst good to unwind, is not a major part of life;

-I'm anal about grammar too, but as I type so fast and don't preview anymore, I don't care- it's not a legl document I'm preparing, but will accept that chronic bad grammar and spelling should be tactfully highighted (and admit that some crackers are actually hilarious);

-We had a spat at the start, but I didn't find you rude/abusive, I accepted your persona for what it is and actually get on well now. We can all be interpreted as rude at times, symptomatic of the written word in the absence of face-to-face, but any REAL abuse results in being binned. You remain. You are not abusive. You can wind some folk up, though- we all can;

What's to be done with WZR? Nothing really, he should post as normal- if details and facts get too anal, and it irks him, he should let them just get on with it.

Don't be self-conscious on a forum where you are actually welcome.

Whether we agree, or not, you at least have something to say that's worth reading. You cannot get a bigger compliment on a forum - 'always worth reading'.

The 'bollocks' threads are ok in short doses; we all like a bit of fun, but if I liked bollocks that much, I guess I'd be on a gay forum.

These 'bollocks' threads just seem endless and repetitive, and remind me of pre-pubescent conversation; boasting with enthusiasm and energy, but completely worthless. I mean, I try to join in, but it's just a big 'yyyyaaaaaaaawwwwwnnnnnnnn!!!!!!' from Sam.
