Yes.
The logic behind punishing people who pay for downloading kiddie porn is that they fuel the "industry" and thus finance the production of such images, and therefore child harm. If you take that away there would be a problem justifying to treat the download of kiddie porn as a criminal offense.

Thinking about it, It would serve no useful purpose to jail him further, apart from public outrage, but when you consider some skank twat can mug an old Man or Women and scar them for life then get community service, the whole thing becomes a farce.
His Career is over, his life is ruined, he will never work in Mainstream Television or Radio again, but he will probably get a job with the Guardian.

Out of interest, I imagine there'll be a few interviews. Previously he's always come across as rather pretentious, so I'm wondering if chokey has knocked that out of him. Wouldn't do him any harm.

I know some find his treatment lenient, but his trail did send out a worthwhile message. Think you can swing a jury with psychobabble and melodramatics? Think again.

Well the way I see it, in all my years of surfing I have never once come close to typing anything in my search engine looking for underage pictures or videos. Tou wouldnt even find the words "teeny" or any other derivative in my browser.

The way I see it, if you are even curious you must have a bit of that demon in you in the first place otherwise why be curious?

Just even talk about such things makes me feel uneasy and is probably the only subject I have to pull my faculties together to not lose control.

I can see why some people like that recent guy convicted for that girls murder years ago are the victims of such blind retribution and miscarriages of justice. The outcome is so sad because the guy is now proven innocent but is dead now.

Ironically he is buried in the same cemetery as the child victim.

As for Chris Langham....The way I see that. If I was a rape victim I wouldnt be looking for rape pictures to aid my healing process. I just dont buy his claim at all.

I can buy he was just curious...but therein gives rise to suspicion that questions seriously he may be harbouring an inner interest for this kind of thing.

Is that not what a curiousity is? An interest?

If I was surfing for woemn with baseballs bats up their arse that would indicate an interest.

Verdict. Guilty.
