Mclaren won't resign and I don't blame him as he'd kiss goodbye to ?2.5m.

However he should be sacked and for once lets hope the FA don't drag there feet and actually make a decision quickly, preferably before Sundays World Cup draw as it would be embarrassing to send him there only to sack him a few days later.

Nah, he wouldn't have his players everyday like in club management.

I want someone who's English/British, so we have:

McLaren
Allardyce
Curbishley
Hoddle
Redknapp
O'Neil

Someone the players will respect, so we have left:

Curbishley
Hoddle
Redknapp
O'Neil

Someone who can not just motivate, but get a team to play more than one way, so we have left:

Redknapp
Hoddle

And someone who's got experience at this level, and appreciates technique over strength and power, as well as being tactically astute, so we have left:

Hoddle

Not really as he was a good manager when in charge of England.

Remember Orwell's opinion on Wodehouse's writing, and that his beliefs shouldn't be taken into account when analysing his work?

Fair enough if it was a personality contest, but you're either tactically astute, or tactically ignorant/naive; either a good manager, or not.

We all make mistakes Wazza, and I didn't put you down as someone who would judge something somebody said nearly 12 years ago.
