Haven't read all the posts here and on other threads, but I honestly believe this will give the National set up a good kick up the arse.
Never mind McClaren, the whole board should resign, they still think of the '66 World Cup and feel 'we' should have a God-given right to be in major finals. Brian Barwick, Geoff Thomas and even Trevor Brooking should do 'the decent thing' and walk now.
No competetve match till NEXT Autumn gives us time to get it right once and for all.
IF a caretaker manager should be installed, its Stuart Pearce for me PURELY as he was always 110% commited to the England shirt, and would make bloody sure the current squad realised the significance of the shirt and its three lions. As a club manager, he is average....at best, but as an international level, I think he would give verbal abuse to the poncey cunts who so very badly let themselves and the shirt down, without giving two fucks if it upset them or not.
