Cheers BB. Yeah, mi mam's going to drain the goosfat for the roast 'taters'. I wouldn't have bothered with a goose at that price if there was just me, or a couple, but with it being a family dinner it's gotta be worth the effort.

I might rub miself down in goosefat when the xmas dinner has settled and go for a xmas day swin in the canal. Should get the blood flowing, and I might even find my old bike in there somewhere!

I've eaten goose. I'd describe it's taste as greasy and lardy. You don't want to have big portions as it's a "heavy" meat. It's sits in your stomach and gives you a bloated sensation - that's how I felt anyway.

I just had a Goose for last Sunday's lunch. I shot it on the previous Wednesday. It didn't have much fat on it (possibly 'cos it was young) but it tasted delicious - very much like 'nutty beef' if you can get my drift. It served 5 of us quite adequately, and I would certainly reccommend Goose to you for your Christmas lunch - but ?60 a go!!!! Fucking hell, I wish I'd shot more.
