Interesting fact there, Sam- on Scout camps we foiled 'em up with banana over the camp fire, chocolate bananas, bliss!*

The cocoa never melts, only the fats and sugar that surrounds it. Flakes have more cocoa per gram -apparently- and so are harder to melt down.

My gran used to melt chocolate down in a pan and make cornflake buns. That takes me back! Fuck it, I might make some for Christmas!

My gran also used to make those!

You can buy chocolate cornflake buns in Farmfoods - I tried some the other month, they weren't too bad.

Ah Greggs. Very good food - bit on the expensive side though. !hmmm!

Why are their cooked sausage rolls as hot as the surface of the sun when you try to eat them?

Yeah, pasties too. Should be kept at a nice consumable temperature, I've actually scalded my palate on one.

The worst Greggs for doing this is the one at Clydebank. I bought a couple of sausage rolls there and when the lady put them in the bag I couldn't even hold it as it was just too hot - I had to put my glove on to carry the bag out of the shop.

Why is a Flake coated in chocolate called a 'Ripple'? There's nothing rippling about it. !confused!

Texture, fella, silky smooth. I love a Galaxy ripple, mmmmm, magic!

See these Mars Planets and equally minging offshoots of a franchise....... why, mummy, why? They frighten and taste like poo. Kinder bueno, eeeeeeech, pure ceeeeech!

Other old Fudgey faves gone rank:

Munchies;

Creme Eggs;

Rolos;

Milky Way;

Caramac;

Picnic;

Twix;

Licquorice Allsorts;

Bon-Bons, vomit material.

I'm more of a cake/pastry guy now for a wee indulgence- can't go wrong with a vanilla-custard slice. Old-style 'quarters' of old-skool sweets are great too.
