5 years of hiding hubby, stashing him away from society in the cellar bedecked with Sky Plus, a PC and all mod cons, for ?450K, ?90K a year- worth the hassle?
'Tis all a bit mental, I tell thee.
Canoeist found after 5 years.

.......or instead of The Running Man, we could have a wonderful offshoot called The Rowing Man. All televised of course, and presented by David Dickinson.

That's him (of Bargain Hunt fame)- he would get into character to be a sinister cheesy intimidator in a hoodless, cross-studded gimpsuit.

No way
It would be the same style
I can picture 2 couples on a cliff top green grassy surface each in charge of a cannon with 2 experts in the art of warfare giving tips
Then we cut to see what each couple has in their picnic hamper before we start the obliteration of our victim who's rowing his little heart out to get out of range
The end result...both couples make a complete ass of themselves
while the rower who thinks he's safe is mown down by the channel ferry

The rower may maim the canoe off-camera when the attention is on the other couple, and scatter a suspicious patern of canoe remains about- he may even leave his watch around to imply he's been taken to the sea. He then buggers off for 5 years and returns to compete another gameshow, having defrauded Ant and Dec of their ill-gotten phoneline wonga.

Forgot to mention the channel ferry had its gates down so by mown down I meant soft landing
If he found the right ferry(europe to england from holland)and played the poker machines next to the bar he'd have made enough to live like a king for those 5 years
The gameshows name?

Sounds like a take off of cheech & chongs
Whats your name?
For the viewers at home here is what is behind the 3 cards
Ace contains his devoted Wife looking to get remarried
King contains an all expenses holiday to a convict colony,Tasmania
Joker contains Steven Redgraves one of a kind outboard dinghy
So viewers which one would you pick?
