Police Strike....

Post by Lizard »

Should they? Is this Home Secretary off her tit's taking them on.....methinks because thier pay rise went to arbitration, she has spat her dummy out and spitefully held back thier money. So was it a menapausal mistake of mammorial proportions, or is she just power crazy, and will Gormless Gordon sack the cow enabling her to get the job of her dreams, making beds in a travel lodge.

The UK police are the highest paid in Europe, work the least amount of hours, have more sick days and entry requirements are also lowest. Their complete package is far in excess of any other police service in the G8 !.

I don't think they deserve any higher pay increase BUT the government is WRONG by going back on its word.......

Pay em this year and put them on a pay freeze for 2/3 years. SIMPLE

Also I like the idea the Tories are discussing that every 3 years the local people have a vote on their chief constable keeping his job......just like in the US where the local polulation vote for the sherrif.

But if the Police go on strike how would our Insurance claims be processed? Because in my experience (having been the victim of burglaries, car thefts, vandalism and other anti-social behaviour) the role of the police in all of this has merely been an administrative role (give me a crime number for insurance purposes, ask if I need counselling) and then piss off. In all of these incidences no one has been arrested, no property has been recovered and there has been no visible police presence in our area to stop them happening again. Names were given to the police, but they took no action. The only way this stopped was when I had 'a word' with one of the aforementioned names. The police in this country are overpaid, useless morons at the bottom and overpaid self-serving politically correct politicians at the top. Let them go on strike and then sack the lot of them. We can then (as communities) begin to police ourselves and put an organization into place which actually serves the community in which it operates rather than persecuting it. I'm fed up with the fuckers.

Biffalo - I bet there would have been an arrest if one of the "names" you had had a word with had reported you for harassment.

The cops are only interested in getting easy arrests.

I couldn't believe it the other day when I was reading that some force were issuing cautions to people who were "stealing" bandwidth from unsecured WiFi networks. I think that sums up their priorities.

I wonder if you have anything to substantiate your first paragraph?

Exactly Spider. If this scumbag had reported me, then Her Majesty's finest would have been down in numbers and hauled me off to the slammer just for being the fine, upstanding tax-paying, home owning, hard working threat to society that I am. We are easy targets for them (both the police and the criminals - there really is no difference between the two). Of all the crimes perpetrated against me and my family, I am the only person who has been prosecuted by the police (speeding). HM finest were very diligent in the pursuit of that matter, by the way.

Well if they stick at the job for say 25 years or so until they are 50 you will usually find they can take a very early retirement with all the perks of the job - which is more than can be said for most hard working individuals. Does their overtime and allowances show up in these lowly published wages ... I don't think so.
PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?

Police threads have been on here regularly and they always seem to turn nasty with the underclass protesting at how well they do.Despite Sherlock Holmes most crimes are unsolveable cos there aint no fucking evidence.Course if you want plod at every street corner it will cost..and then how will we afford to house those single mothers and pay dole to those useless shits who have no sense of guilt that they sponge off the rest of us.Plod are human some are good some are crap..bit like the posters here really...........
