Ok, I've just changed ISPs, form blueyonder to be.
I'm paying ?14 a month for 8mb downloads and 1.3mb uploads, with unlimited usage.
My results:

Getting nearly 11.5mb and only paying for 8mb! My upload speeds are shiite though.
Are you getting what you pay for?

I'm with be* and similar stats (bit quicker actually).
Check the member forum for DMT Tools use, you might get a bit more.

Re: What's your Broadband Speed?
I thought you were on the 24meg package Jacques? My exchange limits me to 16mb -apparently- and so I only paid for the 8mb.
I'll have a gander on the forums, cheers.

Re: What's your Broadband Speed?
I am, but I don't get the full monty due to my distance or rather the length of BT cable to my home.
One tip:
The BeBox isn't as secure as you'd think. So do some old school CLI.
Start ->All Programs->Accessories->Command Prompt
Type telnet 192.168.1.254 and press enter
You should be prompted for your username and password, enter them.
Input each of the following commands:
service system ifdelete name FTP group wan
service system ifdelete name TELNET group wan
service system ifdelete name HTTPs group wan
service system ifdelete name HTTP group wan
With the CLI system, you will only get a message if you make a mistake, or if the setting itself does not need changing. You cannot harm your Be Box by entering commands which have already been done. You will simply get a notification to this effect.
If you now do a 'Shields up' test you should find yourself in Stealth mode.

And if you want to refuse ping requests then use the command:
service system ifdelete name PING_RESPONDER group wan
service system ifdelete name PING_RESPONDER group wan

Re: What's your Broadband Speed?
Cheers for that. Only had the bebox going for the last 48 hours and not familiarised myself with all it's settings. It certainly doesn't look as secure (or easy to secure) as my Netgear GT624 router.
I can't even find an option that turns off the SSID braodcasting, but like I say, I've only skimmed through the bebox's settings as yet.
You info will come in handy.....again, cheers oh wise one !thumbsup!

9698down to 123up
If only everyone had speeds like this then we might actually get to see them ALL the time

Re: What's your Broadband Speed?
DMT = DSL Modem Tools
You need the right version for the modem you use and it is very easy to 'balls up'.
Use with care and expert advice - for this reason I won't provide a link, be* users can find guidance on the be* forum.

Re: What's your Broadband Speed?
Forgot to mention, that speed was on a 64k slowed down connection
otherwise a 8mb connection
