Maybe there are some cultural archetypes that we can't help becoming. Not so much as life imitating life, or history repeating itself, as perhaps an unconscious desire to become what we fear----or is that getting a wee bit too Olayish?

Lets face it, do we really have to find artists likeable or even lovable to enjoy what talents they have? Most artists are miserable fucks anyway.

Just remember them for their most redeeming trait. Their music.
