Hey Ace!!

Good luck chap. I have gone back to being a veggie for the time being and it's certainly helping. But as you know its still really easy to put weight on being a veggie. I was one for ten years and my weight fluctuated quite alot during that time.

Having said that,there is no doubt that the bulk of my recent weight gain was put on since I started eating meat again. I think I was just trying to make up for lost time!!

Looking at some of your guitars,a new Les Paul will certainly be in great company. I really hope you do it chap!!

Well done, I need to lose a bit of weight too. Fell in love with a girl, she ended up being a slut, I got depression, went down the comfort eating route (as I don't drink, smoke or so drugs) and 3 years later, I'm still stuck in a rut.

My cock has been unemployed for 2 years as I just don't have the confidence to chat up women. But if I was a rich scumbag, with a fast car, that someday I'd probably crash, and I did drugs and was a real asshole, I'd have a better chance with the ladies.

I don't get some women anymore, banging bad guys.

Anyway, I accept I'm a lazy bastard and will have to start doing sit ups etc in the new year to get rid of my damn spare tyre. If any hot women just wanna fuk me senseles (with the sole intention of helping me get some much needed Phallic excercise, I'm all yours).

I've been told it's when you eat that is a contributing factor in losing weight.
So for example, try not to eat anything after 8 pm. Removing the consumption of "fast foods" also helps.

My weight fluctuates. I put on more during the winter months and lose during the summertime. I eat more at winter because I feel as if I need a coating of blubber to protect me from all the wintry elements.

I'm going to start training again after xmas and have about 20lbs to lose.

You've done great so far, and don't be disheartened if that last stone takes 5 months instead of 3 because the less weight you're carrying around, the less strenuous walking becomes and the less calories it takes, so get yourself a heart monitor and go for a 30 min jog/walk before breakfast. First thing in the morning your blood sugar levels will be low, so your body will break a bigger percentage of fat down to get fuel.

Seriously lad, you'll feel fucking great after a few months.

As we become older our body "clock" slows down which makes it difficult to "burn" off the weight.

Great news Beeston, fantastic, well done- and well worth it.

I keep the diet balanced and do lots of running/gym: if you incorporate a wee bit of running, the feelgood factor will rocket!!

Not for everyone, I know.

Keep plugging away, don't want you being a couch-tattie with the ps3!! Well structured, with great incentive- intelligently thought out!

I've just rolled in- a wee look-see, then bed!

Sounds like you've got it sussed

I think the 2 biggest mistakes people make is,

Losing too much too soon making it a short term fix

Cutting out whole food groups(fatty sugary foods)which leads to cravings = binge eating

I always liked the idea that you set aside one day a week for a eat anything you like day

If you like what your doing when you lose weight/GOT HEALTHY then your more likely to keep it off long term

Its a lifestyle change more than a weight loss program or at least thats the way I viewed it when I ballooned out from my normal 12 stone,to 15 stone
