Brought back memories of me as a 9-11 year old! I had forgotten about the butler Harbinger or De Vere's Mum- but the scriptwriter: the original one too, hadn't.

I associate it with halcyon days, I was Head Boy at school, and the arrival of Thatcher had me thinking that the world would be better and happy- no more power cuts during my tea.

Well, I was 9-11 yo....

This is where I show my age, becuase when TTMB was originally shown at that time, I had to go to get ready for work the next day. !oldie!

Didn't bother - it was insipid, middle class bilge the first time round.

It was, however, a big ratings hit on the night, and knowing what the BBC are like these days we should expect the worst - a new series.
