Would it be a reasonable assumption to say that this
'Must Contain Anal' is being driven purely by the fact that the USA market is so saturated with porn it is drowning.
Why would you pay full market price for a vid when there are USA companies selling vids for between $USD1-00 -$USD5-00.
Anal would seem to be the answer to this oversupply of 'Normal Sex'.Anal is like illegal drugs its something you might like to try maybe.

As for anal scenes drawing down the wrath of the US religious right. They oppose Playboy and I'm pretty sure they'd ban Vivid as happily as they would Armageddon.
Now the question of portrayal of forced sex is a different matter in my book...but that's another story.

.......this may explain why a significant proprtion of my latest purchases have been solo/les stuff. The 'all-anal' is getting a little wearisome, as are the same old faces (etc.....).

No, I don't think it will get that far, I just think the business will become more fragmented with individual producer making movies for niche markets.
Porn will become more acceptable and the buying public will be more influenced by ' what turns THEM on' personally rather than just buying what they can get their hands on.
Some producers will stick with Gonzo, some will carry on with 'themed' features and some will make the 'extreme' market their own, and it will end up with each having their own 'Stars', instead of what is happening today where the performers tend to work with everybody.
Anyway that's just my opinion........others will obviously have there own....only time will tell!
