Rotties, pitbulls and other kinds of power dogs . . . I know there are some good, friendly ones, but I don't understand why anyone would want one except for being known for having a "hard bastard" dog. I've seen dogs like great Danes and Irish wolfhounds that are so big they should have saddles on them, and they don't have the hair trigger that rotties et al have. Some great Danes are just big soppy softies.
The Ellie Lawrence tragedy a year ago involved her uncle's pitbull/Staffy, and for him it was the de rigeur accessory for a drug dealer.
