A reasonable show with some interesting musicains.
But why does the BBC have to pretend the show is going out Live?! Even Jools struggled to remember which year he was meant to be in. Why not credit the viewer with a little bit more sense?
Just imagine the costs of trying to get all those "celebs" and technicians and muisicans together for the real New Year...lol

I agree - never found Lenny Henry funny - he tries too hard and for me it just doesn't work. I have been unfortunate enough to have seen him live a few times and it's toe curling.

Quite. I'm sure Lenny is a decent chap, but he's not very funny at all. I guess the BBC promotes him and similar ethnic sorts for reasons of 'diversity', 'inclusiveness', and other such PC bollocks.

I recall him on New Faces around 1973 or 74 he seemed to pick easy people to imitate

And since then, Sir, he's been doing virtually exactly the same rountine. Never had talent, doesn't have any now, nor in the future our poor lad Henry.

I can't stand either of them, especially Henry. He is incredibly racist, and if he was white would be vilified as worse than Bernard Manning. And French seems to think a fat person eating cakes and chocolate is teh funniest thing ever.
Are you actually speaking english, or are you just making up words as you go along? I do that too...
