Initially I wanted to call myself (username): Lieutenant Colonel Kojak Slaphead The Third Of The Bald Brummies Against The Big Footed Conspiracy Party.
Obviously that was too long - so I plumped for my favourite TV series when I was a tot.
Your username - why did you choose it?
Re: Your username - why did you choose it?
When I first got online I couldn't think of an email or sign in name for Netscape ISP (it was THAT long ago) so took one from the Goon Show that I was listening to at the time (Seagoon). Used Ned here as a result and have regretted it ever since, as it makes me sound about 4 million years old.
Re: Your username - why did you choose it?
It was a spontaneous decision, sounded rather cool at the time but probably seems rather pretentious now.
"But she gives you a name, and you grow into it."---I Trawl The Megahertz.

I did briefly toy with the idea of calling myself 'Oi', but that would be too short.

It was fairly spontaneous for me at some time, but I have used it now for a few forums.
Beutelwolf is the German name for the Thylacine, it literally means bag-wolf (because it is a marsupial).
I liked the analogy of a slightly weird, thought-to-be-distinct carnivore. And the German name for it is somehow cool.
