Answer me this question though.When Newcastle were languishing near the bottom of the old Div2 under Ardilies did 55.000 Geordies flock to SJP week-in week-out?.I think not
When Chelsea were languishing near the bottom of the old Div 2 we were getting crowds of 12-15,000.We accepted that we were shit.
In a nutshell,Newcastle have their fairwheather fans just like every other club does.Don't get me wrong,i appreciate everything Abramovich has done for Chelsea but i will never forget the bad times-though i don't appreciate the gloryhunting,foreign,'nouveaux riche' fans that grace Stamford Bridge these days.
