I switched to sky broadband about 6 months ago and it's largely been a painless experience. I do get a recurring problem occasionally, I can lose my connection during the evening around 8.00 - 10.00pm but switching off the router and restarting my pc solves it.

The only negative comment I'd make is that the technical support is not the best. They have a two tier system to deal with problems and the first tier are useless to say the least ("is your pc plugged in" etc). When they finally put you through to tier two it's inevitably engaged so you have to ring back - via tier one again! In fairness when I have managed to speak to tier two they have been fine it's just a frustrating process getting there.

Seriously poor customer help but more importantly extremely poor latency. You'll get disconnected more than you can shake a stick at and every time you'll have to power cycle your router for a new connection.

Ta for that Monsieur. I was considering changing my ISP to them - but after reading that I won't.

Yep, my friend got it as part of the whole package deal, (TV, broadband, phone) and its crap. Frequent disconnections, and the Indian helpdesk is just people reading froma cue sheet, no ticketing of a recurrent problem, so each call to the helpdesk starts with "Make sure the equipment is switched on......."
We have need of you again, great king.
