I saw Mountain- less Felix Pappalardi obviously- at Wolverhampton the other year. Wonderful- I love Nantucket Sleighride and still think of Brian Walden and Peter Jay!

Felix produced some great music as well.

BTW, Clapton and Cream no longer perform Strange Brew as Gail Collins is legally entitled to royalties.

Actually, Steve, Felix Pappalardi was not in the Young Rascals - that was Felix Cavaliere.

>Pete Townsend-Bass Guitar

Since when did he play Bass guitar

Jack Bruce or Jaco Pastorious would do in his place (or John Entwistle)

They should pound out a pretty good rhythm.

Best drummer I ever saw was the jazz drummer Tony Williams who was good enough not to need to surround himself with 20 drums and 50 cymbals like most rock drummers do.

Freddie Mercury on vocals but he is no longer with us so living would consist of the following........

Robert Plant on vocals.
Jeff Beck lead guitar.
Joe Bonamassa lead guitar.
Ritchie Blackmore on lead, he would quit after a week and sulk though!
Geddy Lee on bass guitar.
Ian Paice on drums.
Tony Rutherford on keyboards.
Ray Cooper on percussion.
Sam Brown backing vocals.
Steve Howe on acoustic guitar.

Dead supergroup would be Mercury, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Lynott, Randy Rhoads, John Bonham, Tommy Bolin....

They were super weren't they although some say mickie mouse on vocals is an acquired taste

2112 stands testimony to their brilliance.........a 3 piece that sounds like that

Geddy Lee ? bass guitar, lead vocals, keyboards, including mellotron, bass and synthesizer pedals, guitars (September 1968-present)
Alex Lifeson ? six- and twelve-string acoustic and electric guitars, classical guitar, mandolin, mandola, Bouzouki, backing vocals, bass and synthesizer pedals (summer 1968-present)
Neil Peart ? drums, electronic and acoustic percussion (July 1974?present)

Triumph weren't far behind them

Gil Moore (drums/vocals/Pyrotechnics expert)
Mike Levine (bass/keyboards/producer)
Rik Emmett (lead vocals/guitarist/songwriter)
