It,s all gone belly up!
With eager anticipation and, after reading encouraging comments from other users
I headed for Piss Take World to get the required gubbin,s,only to find that,because
I live out in the stick,s (where men are men and sheep are nervous) my local BT
x/change is not compatable.
So my dreams of downloading movies as fast as I can choke the chicken have ground
to a halt, I,m now back to peering down the top of my computer screen whilst I await
the crack of someones arse appear in all it,s splendour,and knowing how slowly thing
go around here I,ll probably be impotent by then...........

best thing you can do lizard as I am in the same boat, is go to the bt internet web site and go to the broadband coverage part, and request your area gets broadband ... eventually something might happen, but wouldn?t hold my breath.

Have BT told you when the service will be available to you?
Oh well, think of it this way, at least you are saving a few quid.

He certainly wont get cable. I live in a city and I cant get cable. I fancied NTL Broadband after reading the leaflets which NTL shove through my door and was amazed to discover that my street is not covered or several other streets around me. I know that people living 500 yards away get NTL so I emailed them to ask if they would be covering my street in future.
The bastards didnt even reply. I know I could get broadband through my BT line but I fancied cable TV as a bonus.

It's all bloody mad - I've got an NTL connection box on the wall about a foot from my front door and I still can't get broadband!

Have any of you tried Blue yonder. URL is
NTL and telewese have an agreement that stipulates one or other will hold license to cover specific geographic locations. However this still doesn't mean it is available everywhere yet.
If you have an NTL box near your home try ordering a home phone line first as this will prompt them to sell other services to you as well.
Failing this in certain parts of the UK (Mainly Oop North) there are other companies providing broadband into homes as part of the deregualtion of the local loop. (cabling between BT exchanges and your home).
I can find some other web pages for you if required. Let me know.
