The Best ISP.

Post by Trumpton »

What, in your opinion, is the best ISP currently available? At present I'm with good 'ol BT, but it's more expensive than others. I'm just wondering whether any forumites had any other suggestions/recommendations?

Ta. !thumbsup!

Yup, I agree with what you say about BT. Yup, they're expensive, but on the other hand I've only had one very small problem with them in the 2 years I've been with them.

Check this site out Tumpton any ISP's you like the look of then venture into the forums to see what their (ex)customers think of the service that they get.
What speed are you looking for, and how much do you download a month roughly??
PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?

as crofter said check out you can compare different isps, from that site I found my current isp which is I chose these for a few reasons, excellent customer service and ONLY a monthly contract so if you are unhappy you can leave anytime (most isp's are 1 year contract) they also promise No Network Contention, No Port Blocking, No Traffic Shaping, No Bandwidth Throttling and since I have been with them my download speed etc is so much faster than my previous isp.

Well at present with BT I'm supposed to have 6.5 megs - but in fact it's only about 4.5 megs. Currently I'm near my limit of 5gigs.

My current contract with BT is up for renewal at the end of March, so I'll also be looking at this company.
