Ludivine is also in Gouttes d'eau sur pierres br?lantes (Water Drops on Burning Rocks), another good film worth seeking out.

I see "The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc" with Milla Jovoich is on TV next week - another really good French Film (in English).

Really, really funny films. Watch them and you will see where the likes of Benny Hill, Morcombe and Wise etc learnt slapstick.

Sorry to be a p?dant but the film is Nikita. La femme Nikita was the stupid American name and the name of a spy thing, which was utter shite. On the topic, can anyone think of decent French films which sucked when re-made by Yanks??

I can think of one straight away, 'La cage aux folles', which goes to show that 'Lez Frogs' can do a comedy really well, and then the Yanks go and completely ruin it again..
