Engineering work? Has to happen sometime- and sadly, usually Sundays.
When I lived in Colchester, the time to London Liverpool Street was also usually 50 minutes.
Except for one Sunday- and engineering work. 3 hours- bus from Colch to Chelmsford. Another to Shenfield. Another to Stratford. Tube from there to central London- on Sunday frequency.
