Anyone interested?
Did anyone see the opening game between Ghana and Guinea? I think the game was constantly interupted by a flock of game birds. The radio kept mentioning something about 'another Guinea Fowl.'

Well, being single leaves me with ample opportunity for gaming and reading these days. The downside being company and daily sexual gratification.
I've re-read Animal Farm, Gulliver's Travels, and Robinson Crusoe, plus I've read The Pilgrim's Progress, Emma, Tom Jones, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, and I'm a quarter of the way through The Life and Opinions of Tristam, Shandy, Gentleman, all since October.
I said I'd catch up on classics, and I've gone some way to doing so. I'm getting myself some more books for my birthday, but a little more political. 'The Prince' by Machiavelli, 'Che Guevara: A Revolutionary Life' and 'The Revolution Betrayed' by Trotsky.
Any recommendation along these lines?

I know you're interested in economics, but it goes into how such things evolved in our evolutionary past so is more factual than inspirational.
Don't let Mr Dibble see that I'm going to read up on Trotsky. He'll obviously blame middleclass student friends that have brainwashed me.

I have had a copy of the The Prince for years now, haven't got very far, trying to read Uyleses and the Koran, but some how life keeps distracting me, anyway Mr Zevon, How far areyou down the Civ4 road, I can't get to far, I've only acheived anything on settler level, this is a big insult to me as a Civ1 and 2 veteren, The civ series seems to be a bit of a dead horse at the moment imo.
