Just checked my bank statement and found same amount as last month paid in.

In addition to cost of living I was expecting a decent increase. This does not fit in with details I was given before accepting the position, but from what I learnt talking to other staff I'm not so surprised.

Phrases like ' Stitched Up ' come to mind.

Hence time to be moving on.

Last year our pay rise was a tiny 1.7% and of course this year it'll be nought!

Obviously your boss is trying to get into LESbos Pants trumpton ... but look on the bright side you guys ain't getting a rise but your boss obviously is. These money saying experts are utter, utter shite and always end up doing long term damage to the spirit and bond of the workforce whilst saving a few quid, but they aren't bothered as they are only paying a flying visit.
Still 30 hours a week leaves you plenty of time to get your post count up as it has been slipping lately myoldson.

PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?

Well a cut in hours would be brilliant if you're on a fixed salary.

!laugh!

I caught Les having a nap this morning - at work I hasten to add. "She" looked like a beached whale snoring loudly away. Was it wrong of me to deliberately bang the door shut which woke "her" up with a jump? !wicked!

Yes it would be Lara - but I'm paid for the number of hours I work a week. Therefore a reduction in the number of hours I work means in effect a pay CUT!
