I was pleasantly suprised that my favourite film of all time, The Parallax View, has FINALLY gotten a Region 2 release........duly ordered from those nice people at Play.com
Another fave of mine that didn't get a release for years was The Externinator.......basically an updated 'Death Wish' film....only gorier and more violent and a smash in 1980.
But another classic that I have NEVER seen on DVD is Class of 1984, which for SOME reason is banned..............and whilst I remember it with much fondness, cannot remember ANYTHING in it that would warrant a banning, especially in this day and age.
Any idea's why, and what mainstream film would YOU like to see released on DVD that so far has been 'held back'

Re: Class Of 1984
Just been looking it up on IMDb. They have a trailer:
Re: Class Of 1984
I fondly remember the Alice Cooper song 'I am the Future' and one of the thugs wearing a Clash T-shirt

Re: Video to DVD releases
Class of 1984 has a cinema certificate after 4:14s of cuts.
Passed uncut on video when submitted to the BBFC in 2005. However it seems that the version submitted has been pre-cut by about 5s but that this version is approved by the director, Mark L Lester
The approved director's cut, region 2 DVD is available at Amazon
