It's all revenge and nothing much to do with what he said. If any other Bishop had said something similar, their may have been an outcry, but without the threats. Why?

Dr Michael Nazir-Ali's father is an apostate, punishable by death. Because Mr Ali was the one spouting off, the imams in the mosques will have wound of the attendees with stories of his fathers apostasy and what it says in the Quran/Hadith about what should be done with such people.

Now.....who's the better Muslim? The one who ignores what the Quran says, or the one that holds on to every word?

The Koran is a book, and any evil, manipulative person can get it to seem to say what they want it to.

The same is true of the Bible. The first five books are the books of Moses, and from them we get the ten commandments. But we also are told that we should kill homosexuals, sell our daughters into slavery . . . . so why aren't we?

Using Downs syndrome people as carriers for your bombs is repugnant. But what makes you think that those who want to murder and maim innocents in market places have any moral compass to guide them?

Some might say the sooner religion is declared a mental illness the better.

The core values of most religions are quite laudible. Thou shalt not kill, etc. Nothing wrong with that. Presumably, these lunatics must go to prayer, what do they pray for?

Two pages after the piece about homosexuality being a sin, it mentions it is a sin to eat pork. In the Old Testament.

You cannot blame the Muslims solely. They're are only following their religion........which must be respected. The Old Testament is just as bad.

The main difference is that an enlightenment occurred in Europe, while it didn't in the Middle East. Christians would be just as bad otherwise. Let's be honest: a Christian that followed the Bible to the letter would be regarded as a right wing fundamental prick.
