Haven't seen it so can't really comment, but . . . . it's ITV, how high were your hopes?

Saving my expectations for Life On Mars sequel Ashes To Ashes on Thursday night, with Keeley Hawes replacing John Sim and Steve Strange the 1980s' answer to the test card girl.

Its called 'Thank God You're Here' and 'guests' have to improvise without a script to the crowd laughing their cunts off.
To say its shit is putting a shine on it!

Phil Nicholl was good last week- but it is obviously set up, and the obligatory 'get the viewers in' soap star is fucking shite.

Although I could do the lovely Jennie McAlpine until it turned black and fell off.

I actually think the concept is a good one but it shouldn't become a regular show season after season

Its achilles heel is in finding enough real talent to make it work

Comedians that can ad lib seamlessly are few

In OZ they were scraping the bottom of the barrelafter no more than 5 episodes...radio personalities should never be seen on TV

one of the better ones

Saw Merton,Richard Vranch, Steve Stein, Jim Sweeney (he's now in
a wheelchair) and a couple of others do a live improv stye show about
2 years ago and they were still very clever and funny

But this itv show is really poor

Just a point on dave tv showing who's line - I seem to remember that
most of the best editions featured Merton and John Sessions
For some reason these two don't appear on the dave shows
So in my opinion dave are showing most of the crap editions

Jim Sweeney's in a wheelchair? I remember him and Steen from 80s ITV comedy CBTV:Channel 14.
